2020 has been the toughest of years for everyone, who would of thought we would ever live to see this. It has definitely shook up the world including us at Nina Blu.
Pre Lockdown we were about to start a new manufacturing process which could have potentially been one of the biggest steps for Nina Blu. But due to Covid19 our plans were not possible, This virus had a detrimental effect on clothing manufacturing in Asia, it was also very difficult to transport from country to country.
We spent a lot of time at home at the beginning of lockdown with our families finding things to do to pass the time and consuming a lot of food. It began to be very stressful for our brand having to overcome obstacles we were facing. With much clearer minds we decided to take a step back from the socials and designing and evaluate our brand. We realised we needed fresh marketing strategies, a new approach to our socials and a marketing plan that would reach the masses.
Being able to finance our plans as a small business was not easy at all, it was a scary time and very nerve racking trusting our vision with a new marketing team, they’ve been amazing so far and very supportive and understanding throughout this process.
At the beginning things were not as straight forward as it seems, we needed to start with a new website, and then go on to plan our marketing campaigns and prepare for our return to our socials.
We knew that we needed to come back with a BANG! So whilst our marketing team began the design process for our new website we began creating some new clothing designs that you are going to LOVE!
Initially we started with some men’s hoodies, T-shirt’s & shorts which had already sold out twice within our Leeds community before we even launched them online! This was an amazing start we then began to get so much attention. One of our hoodies even made it on TV on the BBC’s The Rap Game UK, it was worn by a rapper from our hometown Leeds! He goes by the name of Graft and he went on to win the show, what a legend! Check him out on Instagram @iamgraft you won’t be disappointed.
Whilst we was on a roll we started designing a new collection ready for the brand relaunch. Let me tell you, these designs are so unique, we even transformed some of our photoshoot images into graphics for some of the items, and the quality is amazing! We don’t want to give away too much, go and check them out here on our website or on our Instagram/Facebook @ninablu.fashion. Make sure you get your hands on them before they go, if you miss them be sure to keep an eye out for when they restock.
We feel like this is a new chapter of our journey and a fresh new outlook on how we see ourselves as a brand. Sometimes we rush through life and don’t make the best decisions. This lockdown has taught us to take our time and think through every choice and decision. Although 2020 has been a tough year for the world, we feel very blessed and grateful for the time we have had to focus on our brand.
We are so grateful to God and everyone who has supported Nina Blu throughout all of this and everyone asking why we have been so quiet. Thank you for not sleeping on us, we want to make a huge statement in the fashion scene this year! We hope you will all be there to see our journey, stay tuned we’ve got more fire for your head tops!
Love Always!
